JD's
are quite strange looking fish but this individual was particularly
weird. He seemed to be attracted to divers and fluttered around us
in circles with his body tilted to one side.

Shark
Dive
Real
blokes don't use cages when diving with sharks but it does give you
something to hang onto. The Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa regions are not
well known for the quality of their rugby teams but their sharks are
definitely worth checking out.

Golden
Snapper
This
Golden
snapper (Centroberyx affinis) was snapped
at Tie Dye Arch, part of the the Poor Knights Islands
marine reserve. They are normally found in deeper water, in caves
or beneath overhangs where light levels are low. In such gloomy
conditions their beautiful colours are only revealed by artificial
lighting as in this spectacular image.
